The election recently (with it's economic & class issues) has me reflecting on one of my other favorite things to shoot (besides weddings).. commercial projects. Specifically manufacturing, design, construction. To me, these blue collar workers are artisans and heroes.. not just faceless people that show up and punch a clock. These types jobs are one of the things that make this country great (IMO). I love trying to capture the heart and soul of a business and it's employees.. what they make, and the story and lineage behind a company. Here's some images from recent projects that I like. Thought it'd be cool to share

Ashley+Dan's wedding day was a little rainy/cloudy so I offered to get back together for a sunny fall afternoon groomal shoot! They were married at the stunning Utah Museum of Natural History, so we headed back there for a spectacular shoot. Love these photos! Enjoy.

I've been so busy this season that I haven't really posted much on the blog here! That will change shortly. In the meantime, here's some scenery from areas I've been traveling to for weddings ( Oregon, Napa, San Francisco and here in Utah) and some time in Moab for mt. biking. Ellen+Ming wedding. Boston, massachusets

Ellen & Ming hired me to shoot their awesome wedding out in Boston this summer! The ceremony was at the historic Church of the Covenant in downtown Boston, followed by a dinner and reception at the equally gorgeous Long Wharf Marriott Hotel at Boston Harbor. Fantastic! Thanks for having me out guys!
End of summer dinner with friends

I was invited to a lovely dinner party hosted by Chef Elizabeth Gundersenand her husband Philip. It was an end of summer harvest dinner with close friends.. sharing a farm fresh buffet while first of fall sun was setting in the garden.... Seriously amazing! Liz is an absolutely incredible chef (and designer! the table looked amazing.) Great little evening. Thanks for having me over!
